Sassuno is a small hamlet set in a spectacular area, with gullies from the main road forming a backdrop to the church. The date of construction of the parish church of Saints Michael and Christopher of Sassuno is unknown, but it is mentioned in some documents from 1378. In the base of the bell tower there is a squared block of white marble that is assumed to come from the ancient Roman city of Claterna.
